UI / UX Design
NeoOne
NeoOne is a browser-based Building Information Modeling (BIM) platform designed to help architects, engineers, and construction teams create, view, and collaborate on BIM models without the need for heavy desktop software. The platform focuses on accessibility, performance, and real-time collaboration while supporting complex design workflows in a web environment.
Year :
2025
Industry :
Tech
Client :
NeoBim
Project Duration :
2 week

Problem :
Traditional BIM tools are complex, resource-intensive, and difficult to adopt, especially for teams that require quick access, collaboration, and flexibility. Users often struggle with steep learning curves, cluttered interfaces, and limited accessibility across devices.
NeoBIM needed a solution that simplifies BIM workflows while maintaining the depth and precision required for professional architectural and engineering work all within a browser-based environment.

Solution :
I designed a streamlined BIM experience with a clear information architecture that organizes the platform into core functional areas such as Model Workspace, Project Management, Collaboration, Visualization, and Settings.
Special attention was given to reducing visual clutter, improving tool discoverability, and ensuring smooth performance within browser constraints.
The visual design follows a professional, minimal interface with strong hierarchy, neutral color tones, and precise typography allowing users to focus on complex models without distraction. Feature communication was also supported through structured product content and short video narratives to clearly explain value and workflows.

Challenge :
The primary challenge was translating complex, technical BIM functionality into intuitive, browser-friendly user flows. Balancing powerful design tools with simplicity, performance limitations, and usability while meeting the expectations of experienced BIM professionals required careful prioritization and layout decisions.
Summary :
I was part of the project at the MVP stage, contributing across both design and product definition. In addition to product UX and UI design, I supported pitch deck creation, helped articulate the product value proposition for stakeholders, and conducted usability testing to validate core workflows. Insights from testing were used to refine navigation, feature clarity, and overall usability before moving toward further product iterations.
NeoBIM delivers an accessible and professional BIM experience that removes traditional software barriers while preserving advanced design capabilities. Through clear UX structure, focused workflows, and a clean visual system, the platform enables faster adoption, better collaboration, and more efficient BIM workflows directly in the browser.
